RAK Day: Pregnancy Solutions & Services

On May 1, 2010, Barbara Hupp went to Pregnancy Solutions & Services to assist with needed repairs to the property and building. Pregnancy Solutions & Services is a non-profit life-affirming crisis pregnancy center providing services in the Summit County region. The main facility is currently located on Manchester Road in Akron. They also have an ICU mobile ultrasound unit that takes services to economically disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout the county for the purpose of providing women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy the opportunity to see their unborn child. In doing this, their goal is to help these women make an informed life-affirming decision. The organization also provides classes to help its clients become confident in their ability to parent and counseling services for those who are in need of healing and God's grace.

Hupp's random act of kindness day at the center was spent helping with maintenance of the building and property on Manchester Road. She cleaned inside the facility and also in the parking lot where she removed all of the road debris that made its way into the grass over the winter months. She also painted windows on the outside of the building. Hupp was glad to have this opportunity to lend a hand to those who dedicate themselves to this worthy service.
